Erik Fernholm is a father, an award winning global speaker and bridge builder.
His background is in Cognitive Neuroscience and Happiness research. The past 15 years he’s been bridging the gap between what we know and what we do in organisations, society and life when it comes to why we do what we do and what flourishing looks like. Today, he is one of Europe’s leading voices on navigating complexity, adapting to change and leading the sustainability transformation. Erik’s presentation style uniquely uses research to create lived experiences for the audience that integrates powerful insights and shift perspectives.

- In 2011 Erik was awarded Speaker of the Year, as the youngest recipient to date.
- In 2021 Erik was awarded Top ten All-time Best Speakers in Sweden.

  • Erik is the son of the Swedish Olympian discuss thrower Stefan Fernholm.

  • At 15 he moved from home to study marine biology and get his Ships Officer’s licence.

  • At 18 he sailed across the Atlantic. He repeated this in 2005 and in 2010.

  • At 21 he was a professional kitesurfer and educator of instructors, competed in several world championships.

  • Erik lives in the woods outside Stockholm and hosts a permaculture garden.

  • Moa, Erik’s wife, and he have three young sons, all born within three years.
